Strength
Training - The Ultimate ABS Guide
Strength Training is a must for the athlete who wants to
increase power, strength, speed, agility.
Body
strength is particularly important in order for you to prevail over the physical
challenges that may accompany cancer and such cancer treatments as surgery, radiation
or chemotherapy.
Upper body strength is a must and many school programs incorporate testing and
the development of it in tailored programs for kids in their school systems.
One effective way of testing and developing upper body strength is to get back
to basics and incorporate pull ups and chin ups on a wall mounted chin up bar
installed into your gym.
Upper body strength is the foundation to build power & is needed for all young
athletes.
Total body strength is the key for such an athlete and there is no better exercise
than the full back squat.
Upper body strength is critical to developing a good golf swing as the upper body
provides a player with power.
Leg
strength is very important for all sports and there are few sports where upper
body strength is more important than lower body.
Obviously, lower body strength is important as you will be walking and using your
legs to steer your skis or snowboard downhill.

Core
Strength Training and Athletic Performance
Because
the muscles of the trunk and torso stabilize the spine from the pelvis to the
neck and shoulder, they allow the transfer of powerful movements of the arms and
legs.
All
powerful movements originate from the center of the body out, and never from the
limbs alone. Before any powerful, rapid muscle contractions can occur in the limbs,
the spine must be solid and stable and the more stable the core, the most powerful
the extremities can contract.

CORE STRENGTH TRAINING
Athletes
have found that core strengthening and stabilization improves their level of performance.
Health professionals have found that chronic back pain has been successfully treated
by developing the core muscles including the diaphragm, transverse abdominus,
multifidus, and pelvic floor muscles. These muscles surround and support the spine,
providing the body it's "natural" back brace. Atrophy of these muscles
can lead to a variety of musculoskeletal disorders.
Everybody
recognize that body strength is the foundation of all movement. But few people
know that body strength is the result of strong "core muscles". To
help you develop natural core strength, our fitness program "Body Strength"
can be used to develop individualized exercise programs according to your fitness
need.

HOW
TO PRACTICE CORE EXERCISES
Abdominals
get all the credit for protecting the back and being the foundation of strength,
but they are only a small part of what makes up the core. In fact, it is weak
and unbalanced core muscles that are linked to low back pain. Weak core muscles
result in a loss of the appropriate lumbar curve and a swayback posture. Stronger,
balanced core muscles help maintain appropriate posture and reduce strain on the
spine.
We
have designed "Body Strength" to build your body from your core muscles.
How? The main exercises are based on circular hip movements which alternated with
upper and lower strengthening, keeps your body in constant motion challenging
your core muscles.
