Despite we know of the harmful outcomes of eating junk food, most people continue to do so. This is the nature of addiction.

Food addiction is similarly to other addictions - most people can’t control themselves around certain foods — no matter how hard they try. In most cases of food addiction, avoiding junk foods may seem impossible for the following 3 reasons:

  • Food addiction involves the same areas of the brain as drug addiction.
  • Food addiction is not cause by a lack of willpower but by dopamine that affects the brain
  • Junk foods are a major part of modern culture and most family traditions.

  • Causes the skin to lose elasticity and accelerates aging
  • Affects the immune function - bacteria and yeast feed on sugar and cause infections
