Entrepreneur Pitches CBC's Dragons Den for $300,000 Investment in Innovated Core
Training Program
Vancouver,
B.C. September 27, 2007 Entrepreneur, Oswaldo Koch, is going head
to head with the CBC's television show, Dragons Den, to pitch for a cash investment
in the global expansion of his Core Training fitness business.
On
1st October, Oswaldo Koch will be aired on the Dragons Den's premier show of the
season, bravely trying to persuade the Dragons to invest $300,000 in his Core
Training business in return for a 40% share in his business. He is also hoping
to get the Dragons to invest time, knowledge and advice in promoting Koch's 100-day
fitness challenge, The Core Challenge.
The
Dragon's Den invites entrepreneurs to introduce their products and pitch their
ideas with the aim of securing investment from the five elite business entrepreneurs,
known as the 'Dragons'. No soft touch, these five "been-there-done-that"
business tycoons don't hold back when it comes to giving criticism to up and coming
entrepreneurs.
But
Koch has a special story to tell about his product. Having suffered a near fatal
neck and spinal injury, he took control of his own rehabilitation and, through
his determination and ingenuity, invented the Mastermoves Core Training
system, a proven technique for building core strength and optimum health without
the stress and impact on joints and bones caused by traditional exercise.

"I
have seen death before my eyes but, believe me, no matter how much you prepare,
facing the Dragons is the most unpredictable experience!" Oswaldo Koch, MBA,
P.Eng., Fitness Trainer |
Not
a man afraid of taking risks, even Koch felt the stab of fear when it came to
being face-to-face with the Dragons during the production of the show last summer.
"It was nerve-wracking. They questioned every aspect of the business,
including my plans for implementing The Core Challenge and expansion with the
QVC shopping channel in the U.S.. My mouth felt like the Arizona Desert by
the time we finished our negotiations!"
Since
the filming for Dragon's Den, the sales of Mastermoves Core Training has continued
to grow rapidly. Koch recently published the book Core Training, and the company
established a partnership with Finlandia Pharmacy to implement The Core Challenge
in Vancouver.
In the next few months, Koch will be appearing in most of major trade shows in
Canada, demonstrating how core training can help people build strong, lean and
beautiful core muscles. To see how Koch fared with the Dragons, tune in to CBC
on October 1st at 8pm.
IMPORTANT:
After the episode airs, CBC invites viewers to post comments on their website
- be sure to participate and speak your mind. As
a participant, Oswaldo Koch is eligible to win the Dragons' Den Viewers Choice
Award. The winner will receive a $50,000 cash prize, to be presented in Toronto
during the taping of the season finale. |
